“Since its beginning, the Cub Scout program has been a fun and educational experience concerned with values. Besides providing a positive place where boys can enjoy safe, wholesome activities, Cub Scouting focuses on building character, improving physical fitness, teaching practical skills, and developing a spirit of community service.,” from http://scouting.org.
Cub Scout Pack 3266 has served the Hixson community since the mid-1980s. Most of our Scouts attend Big Ridge and Ganns Middle Valley Elementary schools. We meet during the school year weekly on Monday nights at 6:45, starting in the sanctuary and then breaking out into den meetings. During the Summer, we have monthly activities and encourage participation in district Day Camp and the council’s Webelos Resident camp at Skymont.
The Pack is run by dedicated volunteers, mostly Cub Scout parents. Volunteers work in various capacities. Den Leaders and Assistant Den Leaders work with the Cub Scouts in their dens. Behind the scenes, a Pack Committee plans and provides the resources necessary to help the pack function.
